Republican Party gave women the right to vote by passing the 19th Amendment

DID YOU KNOW? The REPUBLICAN controlled Congress in 1919 gave women the right to vote as a Federally protected right under the 19th Amendment. The 19th Amendment was passed by Congress on June 4, 1919, and sent to the States.

The composition of the US Congress that enacted the right of women to vote by passing the 19th Amendment, and sending it to the States, was:
US Senate: 48 Republicans 47 Democrats
US Congress: 237 Republicans 191 Democrats

The right to vote was determined by each State according to State law until the 19th Amendment to the US Constitution.

Also, remember that the first female US Senator in history WAS A REPUBLICAN -- OF COURSE -- Sen. Clare Booth Luce.
